[custom_qoute style=”simple”]

We are all animals before society.  The need to eat, sleep, and mate is in us all.  The desire to mate drives fashion and beauty, opening the doors of opportunity in as many ways as people have eyes. In sociology, the study of wearing clothing for something other then warmth is considered “peacocking”.  It’s not about the grandest thing you can wear, but how you wear what you have.

[accordion_toggle title=”How did you decide to pursue fashion as a career?”]

[custom_qoute style=”single”]

Pursuing a fashion career has been progression. When we are all little girls we want to be like our mom, or a princess, or an actress, etc…  At age 6, given scraps of fabric to play dress up with, I would dress my mother’s mannequin thinking it was the biggest doll I could find. At 9 yrs, she allowed me to sew some things on the antique treadle thinking it wouldn’t go too fast. And at age 10, I was then allowed to use an electric sewing machine.  By 11 yrs, I was making medieval fantasy dresses, and by the time I was 15, I was sewing wedding dresses for clientele.

[accordion_toggle title=”What do you absolutely love about being a fashion designer?”]

[custom_qoute style=”single”]

The validation when an on-looker lights up, and you can see their mind turn, completing an image behind the curtain in their eye. The split second their heart begins to race for the moment that fantasy becomes reality.  You can see a painting of a girl on a swing, but your mind’s eye see’s her swinging.
