B.JASH.I joins FWSD16 as a 3rd year Designer, and as the FWSD15 Top Designer. B.JASH.I Designer, Marcie Bain, channels her Native American and Danish background as a fashion designer. Bain is the founder of the fashion label B.JASH.I, as well as NATIVE STEEL Men’s and Women’s Athletic Apparel. She grew up in Happy Camp, a small rural town in Northern California. At an early age, she studied her Karuk heritage and explored her passion of outdoors. With these two main influences, she transformed her visions and ideas into wearable art pieces. Her elegant eveningwear launched at FWSD14, and her vintage and Native American inspired pieces will be back on the FWSD2016 Runway. The B.JASH.I label is named after Bain’s four-children, Bradley Jon, Ashleah, Ishi, and Ashawnee.
