Don’t be afraid to catch feels as Fashion Week San Diego returns and is taking over the city for FWSD 17’s 10-year anniversary show from Oct. 4-8. With just a few weeks left until the season’s killer designers and brands hit the chic Gaslamp streets, fashionistas are in full swing for this fierce, five-day event. We sure can’t help but be super excited for the catwalk countdown. Pro tip: Pass holders will have all access to sweet VIP events, fun photo booths and free bubbly. Lucky for you, that’s what we like.

Gear up to rock the red carpet while checking out the runway shows of the Past, Present and Future. This FWSD theme brings sexy back with fan favorites and also showcases emerging designer brands for the epic event.

 

Night 1: Oct. 4

FWSD Kick Off VIP Party & Private Film Screening

The Lot

Pre-game accordingly on night one at 6 p.m. for the FWSD Kick Off VIP Party for an exclusive reception serving cool cocktails and delicious appetizers at The Lot in La Jolla. After a little socializing and sweet conversation, shhh and set your pretty peepers on the Private Independent Film Screening of “The Red Pearl,” which features the likes of stars from “Project Runway” and more. Feel free to dress to impress, enjoy the “dramedy” and drink responsibly dudes and divas.

Night 2: Oct. 5

FWSD Art & Beauty Behind Fashion

Andaz San Diego Hotel

Evening two will be anything but basic at the recently renovated and alluring Andaz Hotel for FWSD Art & Beauty Behind Fashion Night, starting at 6 p.m. Poppin’ pass holders get all-access, and attendees can anticipate being whisked away into a visually insane experience. Expect contemporary artists, hair and makeup, live DJs, circus tumblers and acrobats—Yes, acrobats! FWSD will have taken over the whole hotel and club for a fashion formula done right. “It’s going to be über creative, bomb dot com, to the 10th degree,” describes Allison Andrews, Founder of FWSD, about the event.

Night 3 & 4: Oct. 6-7

FWSD Runway Shows

Port Pavilion Broadway Pier

At 6 p.m., feed your fashion IV on nights three and four for the FWSD Runway Shows ones and twos. The first designer runway nights will be at the beautiful Broadway Pier. This epic event allows the general consumer to get in where he/she fits in and attend while supporting up and coming designers on two nights back to back.

VIP After Party

Florent Restaurant & Lounge

After the sun has long set, save your saucy, strut-worthy self for the official VIP After Party shenanigans at Florent Restaurant and Lounge. Free, on the house champagne will be served, the kitchen is staying open all night and the DJs will keep you dancing ‘til almost dawn. Shake your tail feather and have fun but don’t bust a seam or anything. Or if you do, there’s the sweet opportunity to buy a new set of threads the very next day at the FWSD Annual Designer Trunk Show held at the iconic Hotel Del Coronado.

Day 5: Oct. 5

FWSD Designer Trunk Show & Fashion Awards

On the final and last day of FWSD from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., it’s farewell to model mayhem but don’t fret; your style can stay awhile if you loved any photoshoot fresh fits from the runway. The FWSD Trunk show has you covered. So you saw it, you liked it and you can walk away wearing it. Yes, immediately purchase what you like on Sunday, then FWSD slay on Monday.

Purchase passes through the website today. The ticket prices have been lowered and the first 150 fashion-forward peeps get VIP gift bag swag. Profits go to FAB Authority and Rancho Coastal Humane Society for adoptable dogs.
