Responsive Textiles
RESPONSIVE TEXTILES is a knitwear line, based in sunny San Diego. Founded in 2013, the brand was inspired by the belief that clothes are our second skin, and they should be as unique and human as we are. This is why all RSPNSV TXTLS pieces are handmade by designer Kristine Rodriguez and sold in limited editions. Rodriguez builds both the fabric and structure of each garment with the means of visual communication. While walking the line between innovation and wearability, Rodriguez explains, “My priority is exploring a concept or feeling and telling its story through the knitted stitch. The resulting garments are RESPONSIVE to this goal.”
RSPNSV TXTLS recently launched it’s first collection at Fashion Week San Diego this past October and was awarded the 2nd Place Top Designer, as voted on by the FWSD audience. Rodriguez commented, “This honor of 2nd place for our first collection is fuel to keep pushing my work and the boundaries of what knitwear can be.”
