GWENDOLYN BATES
Executive Director
Gwen Bates is the Director of Fashion Week San Diego. She is an entrepreneur at heart and is no stranger to fashion world. After completing a MBA with Bridgepoint Education, Gwen aligned herself with Forbes School of Business as an alumnae and affiliate of The University Club. Since then, Gwen founded GFASH in 2015, a red carpet accessory brand that has been worn at the Emmy’s, published in over 40+ publications to include French Runway, IT Vogue, 10+ global runways and was a brand selection for Top Model. Gwen is currently in the process of being certified as a Women’s Business Enterprise and becoming a member of the Board of Women Business Council.
JODI KODESH
Advisory - Executive
Jodi Kodesh has been Fashion Week San Diego’s official MC’s since 2013. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Geosciences from Mississippi State University, and has been awarded the American Meteorological Society’s coveted Seal of Approval. She successfully completed Boston University’s Television, Film and Radio Production Program with honors. Jodi can be seen weekday mornings, as NBC 7 San Diego’s Meteorologist.
DIEGO GONZALES
Advisory - Master Hair Stylist
As a haircutting specialist at Gila Rut Salon and the lead hairstylist at Fashion Week San Diego, Diego excel’s in crafting stunning hair looks for a variety of occasions. From editorials to weddings to everyday styles, his expertise spans across the spectrum of hairstyling. Additionally, Diego is skilled in makeup applications, ensuring a complete and cohesive look. His work has graced the pages of numerous magazines and adorned several covers, showcasing his talent and creativity. Notably, he has provided editorial hairstyling for Viejas Casino, adding a touch of glamour to their events. With a title of Master Stylist Haircutting Specialist at the salon, Diego brings a wealth of experience and innovation to every client’s chair.
BREANNA MILLER
Advisory - Master Makeup Artist
Serial Entrepreneur and Thought Leader. Breanna currently owns 3 businesses. Destination Beauty Experts is a nationwide referral service connecting freelance beauty experts with weddings and events. They are currently contracted with the largest elopement agency in the US, as well as with multiple other elopement and microwedding agencies throughout the US and Italy.
Simply Vowed is a Wedding Planning and Consulting agency in which everything is provided from vendor contract review to full Wedding Coordination. And last but not least, Breanna Rae Beauty Bar is a full service salon suite in Del Mar, CA inside of the Del Mar Plaza, providing everything from cuts, color, blowouts, hair treatments, and makeup services.

Lead photographer, George Arguelles has made a name for himself on social media as Fashion Photo SD and Made Gorgeous. George has owned his craft for several decades, and has shot for major celebrity brands and high profile magazines. He only Shoots fashion-related themes, concepts and applies that to different photography genre such as, editorial, catalog, slice of life, street style, commercial, social commerce, and runway among others. Additionally, he shoots bridal gowns for editorial stories but not weddings.
His style of photography is highly dependent on studio lights. With a combination of ambient/natural light with studio lights he brings out the details of the clothing and designs. From San Diego to Paris, you will find George snapping shots on the hottest fashion scenes.

Louie Gonzalez Fashion photographer Louie Gonzalez of 656 Photography is making his mark in the industry as both a fashion and headshot photographer and educator. Based in San Diego, originally from New York City, Louie brings his East Coast style and energy to his shoots. His fashion editorials have appeared in numerous publications including Marie Claire, Vogue, Ranch & Coast, Locale magazine, Where Magazine, Modern Luxury, San Diego Home/Garden and dozens more.
