My journey into fashion began before I could walk, as I insisted on sitting on my mother’s lap and watching her sew. It started with designing paper doll dresses, which then led to sewing on a machine for the first time when I was just 8 years old. By the time I was 17, I had begun taking commissions for my designs.  In my mid-20s, I decided to further professionalize my skills by studying fashion design and pattern making. It was during this time that I also chose the name for my business, Sarra’s Petals, inspired by the beauty of nature’s petals that adorn the world.

Over the past 20 years, I have had the pleasure of designing a wide range of garments, including lingerie, costumes, gowns, children’s wear, women’s and men’s clothing, Burning Man attire, Halloween costumes, dance competition outfits, and wedding dresses.
